Section 01 & 02 • Problem & Breakthrough

Why Ceiling Fan & High-Surface Cleaning Needed Reinvention

Ceiling fans are present in virtually every home, classroom, hospital, and office—yet cleaning them remains hazardous, incomplete, and economically inefficient.

03 • Identification of the Problem High Fall Hazard
Thick layer of dust accumulated on upper surface of ceiling fan blade
Upper-blade dust buildup

The 3 Core Challenges Faced by Households & Institutions

Cleaning overhead fixtures requires climbing precarious ladders or standing on tables and chairs, resulting in preventable household and workplace falls.

  • 1
Severe Risk of Falls & Injuries Climbing ladders or balancing on stools/tables to reach 10–12 ft ceiling fans poses a major physical safety hazard for both youth and elderly residents.
  • 2
Unseen Upper-Surface Dust Accumulation Conventional dusters only brush the underside of blades, leaving a thick cake of dust on the upper blade surface that scatters into the room when the fan spins.
  • 3
Poor Economics of Single-Use Gadgets Buying a dedicated tool solely for ceiling fans is uneconomical when it sits idle most of the month and cannot clean floors, walls, or vehicles.
04 • Innovative Solution & Tech Dual-Motor Novelty

Dual-sided rotary clamp

Ground-Level Dual-Sided Motorized Cleaning

Combines an extendable pole, a detachable U-clamp housing two DC gear motors, washable microfiber pads, and a rechargeable battery.

  • ✓
Simultaneous Top & Bottom Blade Scrubbing Two counter-balanced rotating microfiber mop heads clamp onto the blade, removing stubborn grime from both upper and lower faces in a single pass.
  • ✓
Dry & Semi-Dry Modes + Detachable Washable Heads Switch between Dry Mode for quick electrostatic dusting and Semi-Dry Mode for sticky oil/grime removal. Detachable pads ensure year-long hygiene.
  • ✓
Convertible 4-in-1 Multi-Surface Architecture Transforms in seconds from a ceiling fan clamp into a motorized rotary cleaner for floors, walls, and vehicles—maximizing daily household & utility.

Completed • Local Sourcing

Easy-to-Repair Local Market Parts

In the prototyping stage, all mechanical and electrical items were sourced from the local market so that if any component ever gets damaged, any user can easily and affordably replace it locally.

Next Phase • Ergonomics

Ultra-Lightweight Chassis

Engineering the next iteration with lighter composite tubing and compact motor housings to reduce overhead arm fatigue for effortless operation by users aged 12 and above.

Planned • Zero-Mess Upgrade

Transparent Dust-Catching Mesh

Adding a detachable transparent mesh shield directly beneath the rotating mop clamp to catch dislodged dust falling from the ceiling fan while preserving full upward visibility.

Scale-Up • Attachments & Bulk Cost

Corner Attachments & Bulk Production

Adding modular attachments for tight corners, bends, and hidden surfaces, alongside bulk component procurement in the product development stage to bring unit cost down significantly.
